This article, to be honest, is going to be mainly photos, as I would like you to make your own opinions on the decks. Many reviews of these decks can be found on YouTube if you wish to explore them more, and it is actually how I originally made up my mind to go ahead and buy them.
Oracle decks are an easy and great way to get insight, guidance or focus. I personally don’t do several card readings most of the time. I prefer the concept of card of the day/week and most often pick my card at random, asking “what do I need today/this week?” “What do I need to focus on?” “What message do you have for me?”. I trust the Universe to provide me with whatever message, insight or guidance that I need. Also I really love to have the surprise of discovering what card I pick - I guess that would be my inner child at play!
However you can also pick a card that you feel would represent a goal you are working towards, a dream germinating in you that you would like to pursue, or a quality you would like to develop or focus on on a particular day. This would also be a great way to help you heal if you feel unwell and pick a card representative of vitality, warmth, joy to assist you with getting your strength back and inspire you. Doing so naturally raises your energetic vibration, assisting in the recovery on a psychological level.
As I said, this article is to present you with my growing collection. I will highlight my favourites of course.
These following decks, I haven’t used that much as I haven’t really been able to connect with the cards, which does not mean in any way that you would not love them.
This is my very first deck, which I bought in 2017; it was my very first introduction to oracle guidance. I have always found it very easy to use.
These decks in the following images are decks that I don’t particularly use, not because they are not helpful, but mostly because they are for me “eye candy”! Like having illustrations you enjoy looking at.
These are my favourite decks -
This deck is absolutely gorgeous, total eye candy. I really love the shamanic theme, but as I am not very familiar with the symbols, I find myself referring to the guide book a lot - which is fine as it is what it is for. I obviously need to be more familiar to be able to use it more intuitively.
Similarly with the next deck, I am not super familiar with animal symbolism so I tend to use the guide book to refer to the meaning of the cards, however I just love the images. I feel so supported when I use this deck.
I mean, don’t these just look dreamy?!
The next deck is not so much an oracle card but based on the concept of archetypes. Each card explores the qualities of the archetype as well as its shadow aspects, which I find quite unique. This is one of the decks from this favourites selection that I tend to use most often.
I also really like that there are some blank cards to create your own archetypal cards. After all there are an infinite amount of archetypes and personal traits are always very unique, so it would make sense that what you would consider an integral part of your character might not appear in the deck, and it is a very nice touch that you can create your own.
The Enchanted Map deck is probably , until recently, the deck that I have been using the most. It is so easy to understand, like The Psychic Tarot oracle card. The creator of this deck, Colette Baron-Reid, also author of other decks you might have noticed as my favourites, wrote an accompanying book called The Map, that goes a lot deeper into the life journey you explore with these cards. It is one of my favourite books and it probably explains why I have such a strong connection with this deck.
I love this next deck. It is a recent addition to my collection and I currently use it as my weekly card. It displays animals, so I still need to consult the guide book for meaning.
Again I really appreciate the fact that there are 9 additional blank cards where you can add your own animal or other energies important to your life. Here are the cards that I created. They correspond to my chakra companions that were not included in the original deck. I have also created a card for my beloved cats and one for the moon as, in the past few months, I have become very connected with the energy of the moon. It really makes this deck very special to me.
This next deck is my daily card deck, and is a Qualities card deck created by the extremely talented British artist Alex Walker from Unspeakablearts on Etsy (find the card deck
here). I am a member of the Creative Dream Circle subscription from Creative Dream Incubator (creativedreamincubator.com) where one of my main journaling practices is the class Dream Book. These cards have been created by Alex in total alignment with this class and Andrea Schroeder’s teachings. This deck supports me daily to embrace the quality and empower me in my day. If I had to choose only one deck to use, that would be this one without a single hesitation (luckily I don’t have to choose and can use the wisdom of all these decks to support me on my life journey)
This is my Quality card for today:
The following decks are new additions to my collection.
The Dark Mirror deck is going to be one of my favourites, I know it. It is directly connected to the energies of the moon phases and will be a must in my moon journaling.
This next deck is so cute and tiny. I haven’t really explored it yet, but I really like the messages in this deck. I’m not sure yet how I am going to use this deck, but I just know I will.
Next here are my tarot decks. I am very new to tarot - I have been learning from the class Tarot Wisdom from Keziah Gibbons on insight timer. I have not attempted any readings yet. At the moment, I am taking in the information.
This is one of the traditional tarot decks
This tarot deck was an eye candy deck purchase! I just love the designs on the cards, especially the major arcana cards.
I did find it quite hard, without having any knowledge of the individual cards’s meanings, to get an intuitive message from the cards that would support me, especially the minor arcana cards. They do not speak to me and seem too abstract. This is why when Keziah presented The Light Seers tarot deck in one of her live tarot reading sessions on insight timer, I had to get it. It looks very modern, beautiful illustrations, and every card is easy to get insights from.
This is one of my favourite cards from the deck. To me, this card highlights the deepest dreams coming from your heart. There is a lot of magic in this card.
This next selection of decks is more related to Affirmations, Mantras and Journaling Prompts
This next deck is unbranded. I bought it from ebay and have included a screenshot of the the listing so you can find it if you’re interested in this deck. It consists of affirmations.
This deck is a very simple deck focusing on techniques to relieve stress
I love this next deck of healing mantras. It is the only deck where the backing of the cards is different for each one. This is because each card gives a mantra for a specific kind of healing needed.
The next two decks are journaling prompt cards. So useful to explore your inner and outer world.
Thank you for exploring my decks collection with me.
